Every aspen tree is carefully selected for its artistic character
and then cut "standing dead" by Tom and Kris from Colorado
forests with clearing rights from private land owners.

aspen high designs utilize 1000-year-old
mortise and tenon joinery, handpeeling the logs and drawing tenons
to finish by hand by Tom with a draw knife.

We further enhance the natural characteristics of the aspen
by sculpting and sanding, exposing each detail of the various
knarls and patterns in the wood.
