Meet Tom Swanson, owner and crafter
of aspen high designs.
Leaving my corporate career of over 15 years, I fulfilled a lifelong
dream to relocate to Colorado, moving from Nebraska to Grand
County in 1998. I first began creating custom aspen furniture
designs in 1999 and have been developing this unique style ever
since. I enjoy creating each piece personally for each individual
customer . . . having shipped to about 45 states throughout the
country, including Hawaii.
My goal is to make each piece of aspen furniture to a standard
of high-end perfection, paying attention to each and every detail,
using trees carefully selected for their character.

Nestled in the
aspen and lodge pole pine at 8,400 ft altitude, I create in a
small, primitive workshop and aspen-sided finishing studio. No
retail store, no assembly lines... no factory-milled furniture
here. Each aspen tree is personally selected,
hand-cut, hand-peeled, hand-drawn with a draw knife, then hand-sanded
and, finally, finished by hand... right here in the quiet
of the mountain forest.

unique and organic, yet high-end line of handcrafted furniture
that customers say is heirloom-quality art. . . . "sophisticated
rustic" has become the aspen high trademark design reputation. |
